After work today we drove around Ames and the ISU campus looking for suitable locations at which to post flyers about the tennis league I am trying to help get going in Ames. When we lived in DC I participated in the TennisDC.com league, and thought it would be neat if something similar could work in Ames. I'm working with the gentleman who runs the TennisDC website (and tennis league websites for many other large cities) to get TennisAmes.com up and running. While our current city is certainly much smaller than the nation's capital, I still think there's a contingent of recreational tennis players here, between ISU students and faculty, and the other residents of Ames, who would take advantage of this league format if they knew about it.
